Life is not work alone - Sony WEGA KV34HS420 with 7 blink code

I just ordered the chips to hopefully fix our TV.

I'll let you know how it goes!

It's a year later and the chips are still running great.

  1. Success! I had the 7-blick code on a KV34HS420. But, mine was even easier! I took compressed air and blew off any dust that was on the boards concentrating on the two chips and presto! A working TV again. If anyone reads all the way through this long thread this is the second case where just dusting has worked. Try it! It's free! I have a portable tank for my air compressor which made it very easy. I have two extra chips now...

  2. Well after a few days the "blow out" method went to a 6 blink code. Replacing the two chips has held up for a month now.

  3. In 2016, I still have this tube TV... And still working great. I guess Sony made a good TV. It's just not as power friendly as the new LCD TVs.

  4. In 2018, this tube TV had been recycled.
